Hello everyone. Here's the breakdown for the last week of class:

1. Exam Review - the exam review is on Mr. Landry's wiki and can be accessed using the link to the right of the page.

3. Schedule for the last week:

• Thursday - meet with regular teacher for career presentations and exam review work time
• Friday - same as above
• Monday - report to normal teacher for structured review activities
• Tuesday - report to normal teacher for first half of block then switch to opposite teacher
• Wednesday - report to opposite teacher for structured exam review
• THURSDAY (EXAM DAY) - REPORT TO NORMAL TEACHER
• Friday - enjoy your summer break!

Properties of Matter Presentations

Welcome to the properties of matter unit. To start the unit, we will be having randomly selected groups present sections of the book to the remainder of the class. All audience members are expected to be a captive participant and take notes on the material presented. The rubric used to grade individual is posted here and the requirements are as follows:

1. All presenter must EFFECTIVELY use a visual aid during their part of the presentation.
2. Each presenter needs to speak for at least 30 seconds (prefer 1 minute).
3. Each presenter should have an introduction and conclusion for their piece of the presentation.
4. Grades are assigned individually.

Additionally, each group needs to make either a crossword puzzle or an online flashcard set that contains the vocabulary words from their section.

• Flash Cards - go to http://www.quizlet.com/ and create an account (you can do this using your facebook account). Once you make the cards, email me the link at matt.landry@staff.spartaschools.org

You will get the remainder of today, all of the next day, and half of the third day to plan and practice. We will begin presentations at the midway point of day 3 of the unit. Good luck.

Project week is almost here!

The list of potential projects are now on the wiki. Use the link to the right to access and look in the projects folder for the blue board car project, rube goldberg project, and bridge building project. You need to turn in your parent signature paper w/ your project choice by Wednesday, March 30, 2011 and be prepared to begin project week on Friday, April 15.
