Project week is almost here!

The list of potential projects are now on the wiki. Use the link to the right to access and look in the projects folder for the blue board car project, rube goldberg project, and bridge building project. You need to turn in your parent signature paper w/ your project choice by Wednesday, March 30, 2011 and be prepared to begin project week on Friday, April 15.

Energy Unit Agenda

Here's the plan for the energy unit:

Day One:
  • Egg drop questions/discussion
  • Forces Test Review (corrections due by Friday of the week you have Mr. Landry for this unit)
  • Energy KWL / cell poll (see wiki for copy)
  • NRG forms PowerPoint (see wiki for copy)
  • Homework: find three devices at home that use energy transfers
Day Two:
  • Energy transfers from home cooperative worker activity
  • CRAFT writing -
    • You are a teacher employed by a household device to write a user’s manual to instruct the energy how to move through the device and produce the desired result.
  • Energy class/homework packet handed out - due day 6 (see wiki)
  • Work time for packet
Day Three:
  • Determining the Effect of Mass on Kinetic Energy Lab - due day 4 (see wiki)

Not happy with your egg drop grade, then do something about it!

Just a reminder that you can "save" your egg drop project grade by submitting a two page typed paper double spaced twelve point font. Requirements are available on the wiki...remember to login properly

Egg Drop Week

We're half way through egg drop week. Projects are starting to come together well and you have Friday and up until 25 minutes before the end of Monday's block to finish building. Drop day will be Tuesday March 8. Good luck!
